The speakers at the 2008 Retreat were John and Janet Hawkins. John, Founder and President of Leadership Edge Inc., helps university students and organizational leaders across America wrestle with the issue of developing a leadership lifestyle.
The theme for the weekend was, “A Guiding Vision for Daily Life.”

This is the personal vision statement that Leadership Edge uses in mentoring relationships with undergraduate and graduate students. This vision helps the students live a focused life that is guided by the five phrases in this vision statement.
We will spend the weekend unpacking each of these 5 phrases and discussing how they can guide us in our daily lives. Proverbs 29:18 tells us that ‘Where there is no vision, the people go unrestrained.’ Our hope is that through those discussions and application, we will better live focused and intentional lives that are empowered by God’s grace and result in God’s glory.”
